Break your fast with “Back to the 60’s” ambience dubbed, Nostalgia Juadah Ibunda, reminiscent of mother’s cooking this Ramadan at the Berjaya Waterfront Hotel Johor Baru.

Happening at the Salt ‘n Pepper Café from June 6 to July 5, from 6.30pm to 10.30pm, diners will enjoy a nostalgic dining experience surrounded by décor in the theme of popular vintage P. Ramlee movie, Labu dan Labi.

In the tradition of Ramadan buffets, diners can relish unlimited helpings of more than 150 types of dishes daily served in four rotating menus.

Diners can look forward to savouring mother’s recipe Assam Pedas, Masak Lemak Cili Api, Gulai Kawah, Ikan Bakar, Assorted Kerabu salads, Satay, Ayam Golek, Tauhu Sumbat and traditional desserts like Ais Krim Malaysia, Bubur Kacang and more!

Fresh salad choices include Ulam-Ulam Kampung or traditional village greens that diners may combine to their tastes or pick from a variety of ready-made salads.

No buffet is complete without a few live cooking stations where diners can enjoy freshly made Malaysian favourites like Char Kway Teow or stir-fried rice noodles, Roti Canai, Murtabak, Ipoh Chicken Rice, Chicken Shawarma, Laksa Penang and Otak-Otak.

Delightful desserts are beautifully plated to tempt the tastebuds so diners can pick from selections of Malay kuih, fried specialties like Durian fritters and Banana fritters, traditional sweets like Cendol, Agar-Agar Santan and Tapai, as well as a range of cakes and pastries like Date Cake and Crème Brulee.

Your nostalgic dining experience will be enhanced by live music by a skilled angklung artiste.  Throughout the Ramadan month, the hotel has also assigned rooms where diners may perform their Magrib and Isyak prayers.

For the third consecutive year, the hotel will be sharing the joy of the holy month by distributing Bubur Lambuk to the neighbouring community in Stulang Laut.  This event is jointly organized with Surau An-Nur, Stulang Laut.  Bubuk Lambuk, a traditional rice porridge for the breaking-of-fast, is also in the menu of Nostalgia Juadah Ibunda buffet.

Early Bird vouchers are priced at RM75 nett per adult and RM37 nett for children aged between 5 and 12 years and senior citizens aged 60 and above.  Normal rates are RM88 nett per adult and RM45 nett per child.

Diners may also take part in a fun tikam-tikam contest and stand to win prizes including a 2-Day 1-Night hotel stay experience!

During the Ramadan month, Berjaya Waterfront Hotel offers a room promotion at a special package rate of RM165 nett per person on a twin-sharing basis that includes accommodation, Nostalgia Juadah Ibunda buffet dinner and sahur breakfast for two persons per room.
