If you are familiar with Naughty Bali, then you should get to know Kayuapi as well.

The Jalan Dato Sulaiman commercial street in Taman Abad (Century Gardens) just got busier with the arrival of Kayuapi by Naughty Bali, created within double-storey building, designed with a Scandinavian-style décor that welcomes natural light into its interior.

While Kayuapi may be a new identity, regulars will be pleased that they have retained some of the signature dishes that were popular at Naughty Bali, now presented in a refreshed menu with more choices of fusion food to savour with creative cocktails.

Their Classic Pork Ribs is still on the menu

Meat-lovers (Read: pork-lovers) will be delighted that due to popular demand, their Classic Pork Ribs, is still on the menu.

Served in an 800-gm slab of ribs, this signature dish comes with a side of sauce.

And once this slab is sliced into separate ribs, you will agree that the only way to enjoy eating is by holding the ribs in your hands and chewing the marinated meat off its bones.

If you like a bit more fat on your meat, then the Porchetta should hit the spot.

This ring of boneless pork belly has tight layers of marbled meat locked within a crispy crust to enjoy, dipped in a side of sauce.

The new signature dishes include a platter of Beef, Lamb and Lobster served with the grilled lobster meat – removed from its shell – resting on a bed of sliced beef and lamb steak.

The Beef Tomahawk and Pork Tomahawk are two new Meat and Bones signatures where the meat is served sliced off the bone.

This "K" is for Kayuapi

If this was not enough of meat on the menu, Kayuapi also has a signature Kayuapi Burger made with a juicy pork patty, layered with egg and bacon.

All eyes were on their fusion-style Espetada, with chunks of fish, scallops and prawns wrapped in bacon presented on a skewer and suspended over a small green salad.

For fans of seafood, there are fresh Oysters served in half-shells on a bed of ice chips to savour with a chilli-sauce dip or familiar Tobasco sauce.

Choices of recommended fish dishes include the Jimbaran Cod Fish and Salmon Steak smothered in creamy garlic butter.

When the pasta was served, I could smell the fragrance of basil and followed my nose to the sumptuous sight of the dish of creamy Basil Pesto Pasta.

Another pasta choice is the Black Ink Seafood Pasta which comes topped with whole prawns, scallops, squid rings and mussels in half-shells.

Meanwhile the team at the bar had fun showing off their mixing skills, in whipping up a range of alcoholic cocktails and fizzy soda mocktails.

And yes, they also serve brewed coffee to enjoy with delightful desserts like Tiramisu and Pistachio.
