Raya cheer at HSA children's ward

Pulai Springs Resort carried out its commitment to making meaningful contributions to the community by sharing Hari Raya cheer with young patients in Hospital Sultanah Aminah (HSA) recently.

Some 50 infants and children below age 12 warded in HSA were happy recipients of Hari Raya goodwill provided by Pulai Springs Resort (PSR) and the resort’s Sports, Recreation & Welfare Club.  The children’s ward was filled with good cheer as the resort team led by PSR Director of Operations, Sunny Soo, and Sports, Recreation & Welfare Club chairman, Azrin Razali, visited the ward and presented the young patients with goody bags and duit raya.

“It’s great to receive such encouraging response from the staff at PSR to this programme,” said Soo who went from bed to bed to meet the patients and their families to distribute the goody bag and duit raya to them.  “We are glad that our visit can bring joy to those who need a little cheering up during this festive season,” he added.

Each patient received a goody bag filled with a hand towel and food items like fresh fruits, soya milk and breakfast cereals.  They also received stationery items sponsored by Schwan-Stabilo Marketing Sdn Bhd as well as story books and craft items sponsored by Pelangi Publishing Group Bhd.  Infants also received baby toiletries like shampoo, shower gel, lotion and powder.

In line with PSR’s commitment to making meaningful contributions to the community, the Raya visit to the children’s ward provided an avenue for PSR employees to be involved in the resort’s community initiatives and do their part for the betterment of society.

“PSR believes in the importance of reaching out to the community, especially the less fortunate, during the festive season and we are glad that our employees are embracing this belief and are actively participating in this programme,” said Soo.  “We look forward to many more opportunities to continue touching lives and making a positive difference in the community,” he added.
