The Iskandar
Investment Berhad (IIB) IM klik 2015, Iskandar Malaysia’s premier photography
competition is back again for the second year and over 1,000 submissions are expected
this time around.

Starting
from now till Oct 31, amateur and professional photographers are invited to
submit their entries that are good enough to win cash vouchers of RM4,000 for
the top prize, RM3,000 and RM2,000 respectively for the second and third prizes
and 27 consolation prizes.
The IIB
IM klik 2015 photography and short video competition is presented in the theme,
“We are Iskandarians,” to portray people living and working in Iskandar
Malaysia.
The
competition this year comes with an added category for short videos where
participants may apply their creativity to express their pride in being an
Iskandarian.

The
15-second videos that should be uploaded on social media platforms like YouTube
and Instagram, will be judged by the number of “Likes” received.
Registered
participants are eligible to attend an exclusive, complimentary workshop
conducted by renowned photography guru, Andrew Boey, from the Nikonean Beyond
Photography Academy, Kuala Lumpur.
This fun
and hands-on, full-day workshop scheduled on Oct 10, will be held at Horizon
Hills Golf & Country Club to help participants sharpen their technical
skills to better capture the essence of Iskandar Malaysia on camera.

“We are
honoured to receive so many good submissions last year from Iskandarians from
all walks of life who proudly portrayed Iskandar Malaysia in the way they saw
the city evolving before their very eyes,” said IIB President/Chief Executive
Officer, Datuk Syed Mohamed Syed Ibrahim, citing the stunning shots in top winning
entries by Mohd Nazri Sulaiman, Francis Pay Ah Khee and Sun Kong Wei.
“Now we
would like to see the pulse of this region – their laughter, their gatherings
and the genuine spirit of its people, under the theme, “We are Iskandarians”,
he added.
Over 90
photographs from the top 53 winners and specially selected photographs in the
theme, “Liveable City of Iskandar Malaysia” from the inaugural IM klik
photography competition last year, have been compiled in an exclusive coffee-table
book entitled, “Iskandar Malaysia – Through the Lens.”
