Fitness
enthusiasts are invited to Santa Fit, a charity work-out this Sunday, December
13, at Studio A by FitBird at Horizon Hills, Nusajaya.

Proceeds
will be donated to Santhia, a charity home for children and seniors in
Plentong, Johor.
Santa Fit
is organized by Studio A by FitBird, a fitness centre with members who are not
only keen on physical fitness but also in giving back to the community.
Santa Fit
aims to raise RM12,000 through the sale of tickets and paintings to support the
charity home that houses more than 30 children aged between 10 months and age
16 and old folk.
Registered
as Persatuan Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Miskin & Orang Tua Santhia, Johor Baru Santhia
home is run by lorry driver, Ramu and his wife, Saraswathi, with the help of
six people.
Since
2004, Ramu and Saraswathi have been taking in children who were orphaned,
abandoned at birth or simply left at the doorstep of their single-storey house.

The
fitness and fun event planned for Santa Fit includes activities for the whole
family such as a cardio marathon, auction of paintings by the children of the
home and a lucky draw.
“The
funds raised from Santa Fit will be used to pay school fees, buy school
uniforms, stationary and grocery items as well as pay utility bills,” said Studio
A by Fitbird assistant manager, Quinn Amalore.
Santa Fit
is part of Studio A’s community service programme, Fit to Give, with a
long-term mission to improve the home residents’ quality of life.
In the
pipeline are future events to raise awareness of the less fortunate and to engage
with them to make a difference in their lives.
