I was filled with a sense of
curiosity when I received the invitation to an event which involved three
different entities, namely INFINITY8, Capri by Fraser, Johor Bahru and
IntellexONE, who were going to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Over the years, I was pleased to see
how INFINITY8 developed as a leading provider of corporate solutions in
Malaysia, offering workspace solutions and end-to-end people services,
including recruitment, payroll management and Employer of Record (EOR) services.
Since 2017, INFINITY8 has served
over 2,300 companies, from startups and SMEs to multinational corporations, not
only in Johor, but even in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Penang.

Since then, I have been back to
Capri by Fraser, for several food review experiences that ranged from festive seasons
for Ramadan to Christmas celebrations.
As part of Frasers Hospitality’s
Capri by Fraser brand, Capri by Fraser, Johor Bahru located in the Bukit Chagar
area, offers modern studios and one-bedroom apartments (complete with cooking
facilities!) with event spaces on Levels 40 and 41 that overlook the city and
the Straits of Johor.

Through artificial intelligence,
data intelligence and strategic partnerships, IntellexONE aims to empower
entrepreneurs and drive smarter business growth.
Armed with this background info,
I headed over to Capri by Fraser and found my way up to Level 40 by riding a smooth,
silent and super-speedy elevator to the pods that earned its prestigious
reputation as, “the highest meeting spaces in the city.”
Then at the event, I learnt that
businesses looking to establish or expand into Johor will soon have a single
ecosystem to go to for space, talent and connections.
A three-way partnership to
support businesses establishing and growing operations in Johor was formalised
among INFINITY8, Capri by Fraser and IntellexONE, who signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) in a simple signing ceremony.
The MoU was signed by Lee Sheah
Liang, Co-Founder & Director of INFINITY8; Thompson Kou, General Manager of
Capri by Fraser, Johor Bahru; and Yang Berhormat Dato’ Ismail bin Karim,
Executive Chairman of IntellexONE.
“Companies looking at Johor are
no longer asking whether to come, but how to do it well,” said Lee Sheah Liang.
“By working with Capri by Fraser
and IntellexONE, we aim to make market entry more practical by bringing
together the workspace, talent and business support companies to establish
their presence and grow in Johor,” he added.

Eligible Singaporean SMEs may
also explore Singapore’s Market Readiness (MRA) Grant to support qualifying
overseas expansion activities, subject to the scheme’s terms and eligibility
criteria.
Capri by Fraser, Johor Bahru will
support the partnership by providing event facilities for corporate meetings,
cross-border seminars and business engagements.
Located near the Sultan Iskandar
Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex, the hotel – walking distance
away from the CIQ – offers a convenient venue for businesses travelling between
Johor and Singapore.
Its event facilities span
approximately 3,610 sq ft across Levels 40 and 41, featured in flexible,
pod-style rooms with views of the city of the Straits of Johor.
Two rooms on Level 41 can be
combined to accommodate larger gatherings and provide a setting for businesses
to exchange ideas and explore collaboration opportunities.
